My Daily Routine: Sharing My Personal English Notebook!
Hello everyone! It's Ali, another English learner just like you. Have you ever wanted to talk about your day in English, but you felt stuck? You didn't know the right words for simple things like "waking up" or "making breakfast"? I had the same problem! It was so frustrating.
So, I started a special notebook where I write down all the important words and phrases for my daily routine. It helped me so much! Today, I want to share my personal notebook with you. Let's learn how to talk about our day, from morning to night, with confidence!
My Goal: By the end of this article, you will have a huge list of useful, everyday English words to describe your life. Let's begin!
The Morning Rush ☀️
The morning is always the busiest part of the day for me. There are so many things to do before I go to my classes. Here are the words I use to talk about my morning.
From My Notebook: Morning Words
- The alarm clock rings.
- I wake up.
- I hit the snooze button (sometimes two or three times!).
- Finally, I get up.
- I make my bed.
- I go to the bathroom.
- I brush my teeth with toothpaste.
- I wash my face.
- I take a shower.
- I get dressed (I put on my clothes).
- I go to the kitchen to have breakfast.
- I usually eat cereal with milk and drink a cup of coffee.
- I check my phone for messages.
- I leave the house at 8:00 AM.
Pro Tip: What's the difference between "wake up" and "get up"?
Wake up is when your eyes open and you stop sleeping.
Get up is when you physically leave your bed. You can wake up at 7:00 AM but get up at 7:15 AM!

After my morning classes, the afternoon is all about studying and getting things done. But it's also important to take a break!

- I finish my classes at 5:00 PM.
- I come back home.
The Relaxing Evening & Night 🌙
The evening is my favorite part of the day. It's time to relax, eat a good meal, and prepare for the next day. This part of the day is much slower and calmer.
From My Notebook: Evening & Night Words
- I cook dinner.
- My family and I eat dinner together around 8:00 PM.
- After dinner, we wash the dishes.
- Then, it's time to relax.
